Built specifically for the trap top.
Currently for 12" B&C NDL76/88 and the HOQS N123 Neo 12" speaker
**This is for 2 speakers, 5 pieces per speaker, 10 pieces total**
These
Phase Plugs are purpose-built components designed for extreme
durability and consistent acoustic performance in the C-3D high-output
speaker cabinet. Every aspect of the design prioritizes structural
integrity, density, and precision alignment to eliminate unwanted
resonance and ensure repeatable results under demanding conditions.
This
design will flatten response to ~1600 HZ on the top end! This allows
you to use much more sensitive HF solutions that don't have such large
voice coils. That sacrifice of top end clarity is a trade off to play
below 1500Hz. YOU can now use some of the best sounding HF drivers on
the market.
Construction & Materials
- 3D Printed in PETG Pro
All printed components are manufactured using PETG Pro filament,
selected for its superior impact resistance, thermal stability, and
long-term durability in high-energy audio environments.
- 6 mm Wall Thickness
Each printed part features a minimum 6 mm wall thickness, creating a
rigid, non-resonant structure that resists flexing even at extreme SPL
levels.
- Epoxy-Foam Reinforced Duckbill Section
The duckbill section is printed hollow by design, then filled with a 6
lb density two-part epoxy foam. This process dramatically increases mass
and stiffness, resulting in a rock-solid core with excellent vibration
damping and maximum density where it matters most.
Multi-Piece, Strength-Focused Design
Each speaker cabinet utilizes five total components, engineered as a unified system
-Duckbill Section
The primary phase-shaping element, reinforced internally with epoxy foam for maximum rigidity and mass.
- -Rear Cone Section
Precisely contoured to follow the geometry of the speaker cone, ensuring accurate alignment and consistent phase behavior.
- -Dual Mouth Flares (2 pieces)
Printed for strength and dimensional accuracy, these flares smooth
airflow and transitions at the cabinet mouth while maintaining
structural integrity.
- -Wooden Adapter Block
A precision cut wooden block mechanically ties the center sections
together. This block provides a solid mounting interface and ensures
perfect concentric alignment.
All center components are mechanically locked together using a stainless
steel bolt, creating a rigid, serviceable, and vibration-resistant
assembly.
Built for Real-World Abuse
This
phase plug system is not decorative or experimental—it is designed to
withstand real-world touring, high-power operation, and sustained output
without deformation, loosening, or performance degradation.
Key Design Goals:
- Maximum rigidity
- High mass where needed
- Zero flex under load
- Consistent acoustic behavior
- Long-term reliability
These Phase Plugs are engineered for builders who demand
uncompromising performance, precision manufacturing, and components that
match the intensity of the systems they’re installed in.
